Portal Failure or Candidate Oversight? What CBSE Said

Following the application deadline (December 18, 2025), CBSE received numerous complaints. Students claimed the portal was unresponsive, preventing them from submitting their forms. However, the Board’s investigation revealed that:

  • A total of 2,530,581 candidates successfully applied.
  • 353,218 candidates applied on the penultimate day.
  • 414,981 candidates applied on the very last day.
  • The helpline remained active throughout the period.

Based on this, CBSE stated that the claim that the portal was not working was not found to be entirely accurate.

The investigation did confirm that 161,127 registrations remained incomplete. Since the CTET exam is being conducted after a gap of nearly a year, the Board decided to take a humanitarian and empathetic stance, granting these candidates a one-time opportunity. This decision reflects that CBSE understands student sentiments alongside its rules.

CTET Registration 2026: Important Points to Remember

  • This facility is only to complete existing incomplete applications.
  • No new registrations will be allowed.
  • Verify all details carefully while submitting the form.
  • No further opportunity for correction or submission will be provided after this.

Relief and Disappointment: Hand in Hand

While this decision has brought new hope to thousands of students, it is disappointing news for those who wanted to apply for the first time. This window for CTET Registration 2026 is the final stop for those whose dreams were stalled due to technical hurdles or oversights.
