Instagram rolls out new feature to reshare any public Story without being tagged

Instagram has now launched a feature that allows any user to directly reshare the Story of any public account onto their own Story, regardless of whether they were tagged or not.

How Does This Feature Work?

Instagram has kept it very simple so that any user can utilize it without any trouble.

The steps are as follows:

• Open the Instagram app
• Open a public account’s Story
• The Share icon will appear near the message box
• Tap on it and select “Add to your story”
• The Story will appear on your profile, and the name of the original creator will be automatically added

If You Don’t Want Your Story to Be Shared by Anyone Else…

Some users and creators prefer to keep their Stories more private. Instagram has made it easy for them to retain control as well.

Here is how you can prevent your Story from being reshared:

• Go to Settings & Activity
• Tap on Privacy
• Select the Story option
• Turn off “Allow sharing to story”

After this, your Story will not be able to be shared on any follower’s Story.
