Mahindra Ultra-Fast Charging Network: A Big Leap Toward 1,000 Points by 2027

Mahindra starts ultra-fast charging network

When you’re out on the highway, nothing feels more reassuring than knowing your electric car can charge quickly and get you back on the road. Mahindra has taken a major step to bring that comfort closer to millions of EV users across India. With the launch of its first two Charge_IN ultra-fast charging stations, the company has begun shaping a future where long-distance EV travel feels as simple as traditional driving.

Two New High-Speed Stations That Change the Game

Mahindra’s premium EV BE 6

Mahindra inaugurated its first two ultra-fast charging hubs at Hoskote on NH75 (Bengaluru–Chennai Highway) and Murthal on NH44, just outside Delhi. Each location includes two powerful 180 kW chargers, capable of charging up to four EVs at the same time.

This means less waiting, more convenience, and a smoother journey for EV owners travelling across major corridors. For anyone who has worried about running out of charge mid-journey, these stations are a breath of fresh air.

A Bold Vision: 250 Stations and 1,000+ Charging Points

The company isn’t stopping here. The company plans to set up 250 ultra-fast charging sites across India, with over 1,000 individual charging points by 2027. This ambitious expansion is part of Mahindra’s commitment to “UNLIMIT” electric mobility and support India’s rapidly growing EV ecosystem.

These stations will feature 180 kW dual gun chargers, ensuring quick, reliable, and accessible charging for all.

Charging Your EV in 20 Minutes? It’s Happening

Mahindra’s new-generation eSUVs—including the XEV 9e, BE 6, and upcoming XEV 9S—can charge from 20% to 80% in just 20 minutes using the Charge_IN network.
That’s barely enough time to stretch your legs, grab a snack, or sip a cup of hot coffee.

Nalinikanth Gollagunta, CEO of Mahindra’s Automotive Division, said it perfectly:
“Our aim is to make long-distance travel effortless and reliable like conventional driving, building confidence and accelerating India’s transition to electric mobility.”

Designed for Convenience and Comfort

Each Charge_IN station is being placed along important national highways and co-located with cafés, restaurants, and rest stops.
So while your EV gets recharged, you get a moment to relax, refresh, and enjoy your journey. It’s the kind of thoughtful design that turns a routine charging stop into a comfortable break.

Open to All EV Users—Not Just Mahindra Owners

  • Mahindra owners can access the network via the Me4U app
  • Users of other EV brands can charge through the Charge_IN by Mahindra app
  • The stations will also appear on popular EV aggregator platforms

This open-access approach makes it’s network one of India’s most inclusive EV charging ecosystems.

Why This Expansion Matters for India

India’s EV movement has been waiting for more high-speed chargers, especially on highways. Mahindra’s Charge_IN network brings the country one big step closer to stress-free electric travel—helping reduce range anxiety, strengthen public infrastructure, and encourage more people to shift to electric vehicles.

It’s not just a technology upgrade—it’s a promise of smoother, cleaner, happier journeys.
