SIT Chargesheet in India and Growing Controversy

Raijor Dal MLA Akhil Gogoi has strongly criticised the SIT chargesheet, calling it politically motivated and inadequate for delivering justice. He described it as a “worthless piece of paper,” alleging that essential elements such as proper crime-scene reconstruction, forensic verification, and witness testimony were missing.

Gogoi further alleged that the chargesheet was filed to serve political goals rather than to uncover the truth. Following his remarks, the SIT filed a complaint accusing him of circulating unverified documents on social media.
